Rewind!!

Ah I totall missed the funniest part of the airplane story. ::::
So of course I didn't sleep at all. Anyway I gave up and just resorted to making faces at her (I'm sure some of you can imagine) and randomly leaned my seat forwards and backwards to get back at her. Ah revenge is sweet. After I decided that I'd had enough mind games I looked out the window to find our plane flying over new York at night. It's an amazing sight. Especially since I've never been to new York. Then for a little bit we flew over water then we hit Canada. We flew over nova scotia which was amazing a well. By this time the sun was completely gone down and I looked out my window. I was literally speechless. All I could see were stars. Thousands of stars. No light pollution or clouds it was BREATHTAKING. I kind of started crying without noticing it. It was those tears of joy and amazement at the beauty. For those of you who don't know, I have a deep fasination by the stars and the sky in general. I wish you All could see it. Also, I have NEVER seen a shooting star. Ever. I saw 3!! That means something is magical about this place, or that's how I'm interpreting it. One of them faded right next to the plane. Like really close it was so cool. I was awake through the sunrise. I'm pretty sure Elise was the only one who really conked out. I was awke when we flew over Portugal and then we took a circle around Madrid before landing.

Ok there we go now to fast forward and continue on.
So the next day we were supposed to go on a day trip to Avila however we really did not understand the train schedule so we kind of rode around on different trains for a while but it turned out to be good because we got to understand the schedule more. Then we came back to Madrid to find almost the entireeee city dressed in red for the final FIFA game. Those cool horn things were everywhereeee and car horn were honking all over the city. Like the intensity and excitement were palpable. We walked around for a while and then we each bought a jersey. About game time we went down to the square where there were like 5 GIant screens and thousands of people for like a mile so we turned around an went back to the hotel. When Spain won we went outside in the street and you could literally hear the crowd coming down the street screaming And dancing singing cheering honking horns and everything. It was so freaking cool. I have videos that will be posted on facebook eventually.
